The Kok family assumed ownership of Blue Gibbon Restaurant in 1983 in Norwood, Cincinnati. Frank Kok came to Cincinnati from New York City where he was a chef for 5 years. He followed the model that he learned from the kitchens in New York and applied it to Blue Gibbon. Through hard work and attention to detail, the Kok family brought the restaurant to their desired standards. Within months Blue Gibbon Restaurant began its collection of prestigious food awards in the Tri-State Area.
